I usually separate actors from the characters they play in a series, but it really is rather difficult to separate Bradley and James from Arthur and Merlin in terms of the dynamic they share because they bloody carry it with them off-screen. To all the goddamned interviews. To the little DVD extras. To public appearances. WHAT EVEN, OKAY.
I ship them in a purely hypothetical fashion, because I don’t really do RPS, but they are adorable together in interviews. Should either of them be even slightly bent for one another, I would ship the fuck out of the couple. As it stands, I’d go for just shipping Merlin/Arthur all out as I don’t want to transgress on the platonic friendship of Bradley and Colin (which veers dangerously close to being non-platonic, as you are all aware).
Still, hnngggg, they’re so cute, I want to hug them both and squee. (incoherent fangirl moment)
Man, I love to read other people’s opinion about Brolin. Somehow Brolin defies all non-RPS-shipping logic. Simply because they are not made up. Bradley and Colin have such a strong relationship off-screen that it can’t be helped but noticed. Bradley and Colin together will always be Brolin. Whether you ship them or not.
It really does defy all non-RPS-shipping logic! I don’t know, it’s insane. They’re adorable together, but it’s tougher with RPS because I don’t want to infringe on the actors’ sensibilities by shipping them.
Well, I, contrary to what a lot of people seem to believe, am convinced that most Brolin-shippers feel the same. So shipping Brolin only happens because we can’t help us BUT it happens with tons of respect for these two.
